Bert Sahlberg
Bert Sahlberg has been a part of Granite Lake Church for more than a decade and has been leading the upstairs media room for 5 years. Bert grew up in Pocatello and graduated from the University of Idaho in 1983. He worked as a sportswriter at the Lewiston Tribune and Idaho Statesman, and later was Sports Editor and writer for the Opinion Page at the Tribune until he became Communications Director at Lewis-Clark State College in 2003. After 20 years at the college, he joined Clearwater Paper as Site Communications Manager. Bert is married to Lynn King, a retired elementary school teacher in Clarkston, and they have one daughter, Aimee, who lives in Boise with her husband and three children. Bert is a part of Men’s Ministry and enjoys the comradery of having “Brothers in Arms.” He’s also been a part of the church work crews and helped paint the trim on the building. As he gets closer to retirement, he plans to help with more church projects and seeing our church continue to grow spiritually and with outreach. Among Bert’s hobbies are TV and radio sports broadcasting, golf, and fly fishing.oming!
